 The opening of the sculpture and photo exhibition “In Family Unity – Unity of the World” took place at Moscow State Institute of International Relations (University) of MFA of Russia (MGIMO). Works represented there were created by professional artists from 81 countries of all 5 continents. The exhibition was opened by the MGIMO rector A.V. Torkunov. In his welcoming speech Anatoly Torkunov made special mention of how important is the topic of the exhibition, that is “Family, parents, children”, for everyone present and especially for students who are to create families in future. He said: “A united family is a core that will make our life better and safe”.

 The procedure of packing exhibits for the project ¨In Family Unity – Unity of the World¨ before their leaving for Moscow is almost finished. Last days before the exhibition start are always the most intense. The organizing committee is working almost 24 hours a day preparing a catalogue, editing a film with participants´ video greetings, communicating with authors from various countries of the world.

The inauguration ceremony of the exhibition of sculpture and photography “IN FAMILY UNITY – UNITY OF THE WORLD” will take place on the 17th of October 2011 at 17.00 in the new building of Moscow State Institute of International Relations (University), Moscow, Vernadsky Avenue, 76. The exhibition will be inaugurated by the Minister of Foreign Affairs S.V. Lavrov and the head of the MGIMO-University A.V.Torkunov. After the inauguration of the exhibition a meeting of the Council of trustees of the University will take place. The council consists of representatives of the government institutions, famous public figures and businessmen.
