05.10.2011

The inauguration ceremony of the exhibition of sculpture and photography “IN FAMILY UNITY – UNITY OF THE WORLD” will take place on the 17th of October 2011 at 17.00 in the new building of Moscow State Institute of International Relations (University), Moscow, Vernadsky Avenue, 76.
The exhibition will be inaugurated by the Minister of Foreign Affairs S.V. Lavrov and the head of the MGIMO-University A.V.Torkunov.

After the inauguration of the exhibition a meeting of the Council of trustees of the University will take place. The council consists of representatives of the government institutions, famous public figures and businessmen.

The international exhibition of sculpture and photography “IN FAMILY UNITY – UNITY OF THE WORLD” is the largest humanistic project. It is devoted to the topic “Family. Parents. Children”, which are common and uniting values for all the mankind.
The exhibition was thought and organized by the Creative and Production Corporation “The Ekaterinburg Art Foundation”.
The exhibition in the MGIMO-University will display sculptures and photographs by professional artists from 81 countries, 5 continents and all parts of the world. The number of countries participating in the exhibition is comparable to the number of countries that took part in the 1980 Moscow Olympic Games.

The organizational work of the exhibition had been held during 2.5 years. A professional artistic council chose sculptures and photographs devoted to the topic “Family. Parents. Children”. Not all the works sent to be considered passed this selection. The number of countries where the works were sent from exceeds 100.

According to the statements of its participants, partners, volunteers in dozens of countries around the world such exhibition is a unique phenomenon and has no analogues in the world.
The exhibition is not a purely artistic project. Its exhibits serve as “tools” of effective transmitting humanistic ideas of the project. The works exposed demonstrate not only glossy images of everyday happy life, but at the same time complicated moments of people’s communication.
The organizational idea of the exhibition is to unite artworks of 100 sculptors and 100 photographers from 100 countries and to organize the exhibit in as many countries around the globe as possible. The organizers believe that such weighty and impressive “statement” of the global art community concerning human values will reach and be supported both by ordinary people and national leaders.

It is planned that in each country the exhibition will be held within two different venues: at one of the state Universities and at one of the international airports.

Ambassadors Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of 81 participating countries as well as representatives of social and cultural community of Russia are invited to the opening ceremony of the exhibition. Authors of participating works from many countries will arrive to the event.
