 The opening of the sculpture and photo exhibition “In Family Unity – Unity of the World” took place at Moscow State Institute of International Relations (University) of MFA of Russia (MGIMO). Works represented there were created by professional artists from 81 countries of all 5 continents. The exhibition was opened by the MGIMO rector A.V. Torkunov. In his welcoming speech Anatoly Torkunov made special mention of how important is the topic of the exhibition, that is “Family, parents, children”, for everyone present and especially for students who are to create families in future. He said: “A united family is a core that will make our life better and safe”.

 The procedure of packing exhibits for the project ¨In Family Unity – Unity of the World¨ before their leaving for Moscow is almost finished. Last days before the exhibition start are always the most intense. The organizing committee is working almost 24 hours a day preparing a catalogue, editing a film with participants´ video greetings, communicating with authors from various countries of the world.

The inauguration ceremony of the exhibition of sculpture and photography “IN FAMILY UNITY – UNITY OF THE WORLD” will take place on the 17th of October 2011 at 17.00 in the new building of Moscow State Institute of International Relations (University), Moscow, Vernadsky Avenue, 76. The exhibition will be inaugurated by the Minister of Foreign Affairs S.V. Lavrov and the head of the MGIMO-University A.V.Torkunov. After the inauguration of the exhibition a meeting of the Council of trustees of the University will take place. The council consists of representatives of the government institutions, famous public figures and businessmen.

Ekaterinburg Art Foundation hosted artworks from eighty one countries to hold an international exhibition of sculpture and photography “In Family Unity – Unity of the World”. Recently there were delivered new exhibits from twenty four countries of the world.

According to the organizational aim of the project, the International Exhibition of Sculpture and Photography  “In Family Unity - Unity of the World” is held in every country in two conceptually different places, one being a leading University and another – an international airport. In Russia Moscow State Institute of International Relations (MGIMO-University) was chosen among the universities of the country to house the exhibition. The decision was made by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation.

Preparation of the International Exhibition “In Family Unity – Unity of the World” at Sheremetyevo airport (Moscow) goes on. The organizer of the exhibition – The Ekaterinburg Art Foundation – has been carrying on negotiations with airport administration concerning dates of the exhibition opening. The preliminary date is mid-January 2011.

The organizing committee is still working on the international project “In Family Unity – Unity of the World”. The organizing committee carries on correspondence with new sculptors and photographers every day. Artists from the countries that haven’t participated in the international exhibition before, show their interest and wish to take part in the international project.
